This image was taken deep into the woodlands surrounding the Northern English former Cotton Milling town of Rochdale this river once helped spin the cotton and drive an entire industry, Today it Flows past the ruins of the industrial revolution it once powered. During the second world war, however, this area was a bullet-making factor staffed by the wives and girlfriends of the men on the front lines which is why there is a small doorway in the wall on the right side of the image. However, after the war, the mill was closed for good and has now been reclaimed by the nature reserve surrounding it.
